NABA Milwaukee - (Part 1 of 2) Self-Care During and After COVID-19

When:  May 26, 2020 from 18:00 to 19:00 (CT)
Associated with  WISCONSIN (Milwaukee)

This pandemic has significantly impacted the way we live, work, and learn. Things are constantly changing, but the one thing that should remain stable is how we care for ourselves. With the increasing responsibilities at home and work, the needs of our loved ones, and just trying to make it to the end of the day as best we can, our personal health needs to be at the forefront.

But the question is, do you know how to take care of yourself?

Come join our two-part, virtual series focused on "Self-Care During and After COVID-19". Our featured speaker, Shaquita Glenn, is a Psychotherapist, Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor, and Owner of Liberated Minds Counseling & Consulting, LLC. In part one, she will take us through topics surrounding why self-care is critical for black & brown folks, various holistic self-care techniques, and how to practice self-care for those at home and essential workers. In part two, Ms. Glenn will help us understand how we can reintegrate back into society while maintaining self-care, how to address barriers we may encounter, lead us through the development our own person action plan for success, and provide a host of mental health resources we may wish to utilize in the future.
