Chapter President Message

Welcome NABA Family and Friends

NABA Family and Friends,

Greetings on behalf of the entire 2018-19 Executive Board. I am very honored to continue as the Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter’s President for fiscal year 2019.

NABA is the premier professional organization focused on representing the interests of African Americans and other minorities in the Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Government, Consulting and other Business related professions and academics. NABA’s mission is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance profession with an unfaltering commitment to inspire the same in their successors. I am very excited to work with this year’s Executive Board to execute NABA’s mission locally, within the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

We held our retreat in late June and unanimously decided that our vision for NABA Baltimore will be to continue our active involvement and engagement. But we need YOU! We want to engage our professional members and provide programming that is beneficial to our members, their careers and their families. We exist to establish a fluid culture, working with the rest of the accounting community so that employers and professionals will know that NABA is a resource of high quality potential employees, mentors, advisers and consultants. We are all champions for NABA and we need to continuously move our mission forward.

On behalf of the Executive Board and the members of the Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter, we thank you for your participation in NABA. Whether you are a current or prospective member, a corporate partner or a future friend of the Baltimore Metropolitan Chapter looking for information about the organization, we hope that you will choose to contribute to NABA’s goals in any way you are able. I look forward to seeing you at upcoming events and experiencing your involvement as we continue to lift as we climb.
