Black Accounting Firm Registry – Research Initiative Announcement
As part of NABA Cleveland’s commitment to visibility, opportunity, and historical preservation within our profession, we are launching a research initiative to identify and catalog Black-owned accounting firms across the United States.
Initial research shows that the Diverse Organization of Firms (DOF) within NABA, while meaningful, includes only member firms. Many Black-owned firms are not represented there, which means our national footprint, historical presence, and economic impact remain incomplete in existing directories.
To address this, we are building the first comprehensive, independent registry of Black Accounting Firms, including firm profiles, specialties, leadership, size, and regional presence. This registry is long-term infrastructure designed to protect and preserve our contributions so they cannot be undercounted or erased.
This initiative will be managed by Duane Morris, CPA — President of NABA Cleveland and Founder of FinalFlowRx — who will oversee the research design, data collection, validation process, and long-term maintenance planning.
The registry will also serve as a foundational dataset to support future economic visibility, partnerships, and analytics tools that uplift Black-owned firms across all regions.
If you are a Black firm owner — or know one — we welcome your participation.
