ABA Cleveland – October 22, 2025 Event Recap

On October 22, 2025, the NABA Cleveland Chapter hosted one of its most engaging and energizing networking events of the year at the Midtown Tech Hive, supported generously by our sponsor EY. The evening brought together professionals from public accounting, corporate finance, FP&A, audit, tech, supply chain, and entrepreneurship for an atmosphere filled with inspiration, connection, and community.

The event featured a dynamic conversation on career pathways, innovation in finance, and the importance of building strong professional ecosystems within Cleveland’s growing business and technology corridors. Attendees engaged in thoughtful discussion, asked impactful questions, and shared their experiences navigating the accounting and finance profession as Black leaders and emerging talent.

We also featured an interactive “Community Vision Pumpkins” activity. Members were invited to share words of encouragement, career aspirations, and messages of unity. The result was a powerful visual installation filled with themes such as:

• “Strategic partnership — it takes a village.”

• “Support Black-owned businesses.”

• “Don’t exist… dominate.”

• “Accountants get LIVE!”

• “Thank you EY for sponsoring this event.”

The night also included a beautifully curated spread of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, giving members an opportunity to connect in a relaxed, professional environment. From students to senior executives, the room reflected both Cleveland’s talent pipeline and the depth of leadership within our chapter.
