Community Service

Financial Literacy

NABA recognizes the importance of financial education, especially in the African-American and under served communities and we plan to improve financial literacy and increase comprehension of finance by providing basic financial tools to allow individuals to establish and realize their financial goals. The more people know about credit and banking services, the more likely they are to increase savings, buy homes, and improve their financial health and well being. NABA's financial education program focuses budgeting, financial goal setting, investing, managing credit & debt, and saving. The program will help build financial knowledge and develop financial confidence. If you would like more information about this program, please contact us at TBD.

We seek to make our skills and competencies available to our immediate and surrounding communities. Programs associated with these initiatives include our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program or VITA program.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program: The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is a community-based service that is designed to provide income tax preparation and assistance to low and moderate income individuals and families. The service is performed annually by NABA students and professionals in association with the Internal Revenue Service.
