The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. - Richmond Metropolitan Chapter was organized and revitalized by Thea Peters in February 1989, to unite accountants and accounting students with similar interests and ideas.
The Chapter goals and objectives are:
➢ To promote and develop the professional skills of its members;
➢ To encourage and assist minority students in entering the accounting profession;
➢ To encourage cooperative relationships with other professionals;
➢ To represent the interests of current and prospective minority accounting professionals;
➢ To promote the interest of the National Chapter
In April 2022, The Richmond chapter consolidated with the national organization under the ONENABA framework. This framework brings about a more united vision, direction, and coordinated plan of execution, streamlined business functions and activities, as well as additional robust programming.
