Community Service

We seek to make our skills and competencies available to our immediate and surrounding communities. Programs associated with these initiatives include our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA program) and other programs to better serve our community.

Thanksgiving Turkey Drive
Each year the Nashville chapter of NABA participates in the 100 Dreams Turkey Drive that is hosted by ASPIRE. Members of the chapter volunteer their time to assist with preparing Thanksgiving dinner for families in the metropolitan area as well as notify residents in the community about the Thanksgiving dinner.

Youth Encouragement Services Center Christmas Toy Drive
Members of the Nashville chapter of NABA participate in the Christmas Store event that is hosted by the Youth Encouragement Services center. The event creates opportunities for low income families to purchase Christmas items at a discounted price. Chapter members assist with collecting donated items to sell at the Christmas store, setting up the Christmas store, and assisting shoppers.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program is a community-based service that is designed to provide income tax preparation and assistance to low and moderate income individuals and families. The service is performed by NABA professionals in association with the Internal Revenue Service.
