Accounting Career Awareness Program 2025 :
Our 2025 Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) kicked off and concluded at RSM! ✨ This annual residency program welcomed 40 students from Chicagoland high schools to explore careers in accounting through office tours, interactive workshops at UIUC, and discussions with RSM professionals and interns. NABA Loyola hosted an engaging communications workshop led by Charlene Rhinehart, CPA, PMP, DTM. With her energy and personal story, Charlene inspired students to embrace confidence, authenticity, and unique strengths in their speaking. Students practiced introductions, storytelling, and delivery techniques—stepping out of their comfort zones with interactive “table topics.” Two students even took home Charlene’s book, Debt-Free Before Graduation.. This Black History Month, we honored our rich heritage by immersing ourselves in Black culture, history, and excellence! We did so by:
- Visited the DuSable Black History Museum, experiencing powerful exhibits of history, art, and culture
- Attended the electrifying Ellingtonia performance, celebrating the legendary Duke Ellington’s impact on jazz and music history
- Dined at some of Chicago’s best Southern cuisine restaurants, enjoying food and fellowship

Volunteer Events :
Junior Achievement - May 2024, NABA Chicago Professionals volunteered with Junior Achievement sessions at Chicago's very own Marth M. Ruggles Elementary and Clara Barton Elementary School. Junior Achievement is an organization that collaborates with local school districts to bring business professionals into class rooms to teach students of underserved communities about STEM careers and the subjects that correlate with them.
Fight2Feed - NABA members gave back by volunteering with Fight2Feed, a phenomenal non-for-profit organization whose goal is to serve meals that nourishes the community and helps to reduce food waste. READ MORE
