NABA Chicago Fall Day: Empowering the Next Generation of Business Leaders

NABA Chicago hosted its annual Fall Day, welcoming nearly 100 business students from 10 universities and 15 corporate partners for a full day of professional development, networking, and empowerment.


Throughout the event, students participated in mock interviews, branding and interview workshops, and interactive activities such as the “Fall Day Feud,” Do’s & Don’ts Fashion Show, and “Real Talk” panel. The “What Recruiters Really Want to Hear” session offered valuable dialogue between students and recruiters, leading into a career fair that emphasized genuine connection and opportunity.

We were proud to be joined by NABA INC. national leadership, who encouraged students to continue shining bright and shared updates on the student chapter rebuild.

Thank you to every speaker, volunteer, and partner who contributed to the success of this event, and to our planning committee and the NABA Loyola University Chicago chapter for hosting with excellence.

McDonalds x NABA Chicago Fire Side Chat

NABA Chicago hosted an inspiring fireside chat in partnership with McDonald’s, featuring Global EVP & CFO Ian Borden and an engaging panel discussion titled “The Evolution of You: Navigating Change and Opportunity in Your Career.”

Panelists Christopher Hebron, LaDonna Stokes, and Henry Lyles shared invaluable insights into their professional journeys, highlighting how NABA has supported their growth and advancement.

We extend our gratitude to McDonald’s for their continued partnership and to all who helped make this event a success — empowering both students and professionals to keep lifting as we climb.

NABA Chicago Students Visit McDonald’s Headquarters

NABA Chicago students recently had the exciting opportunity to visit McDonald’s Global Headquarters in Chicago for an immersive professional development experience.

During the visit, students received personalized résumé and interview tips, learned about internship and career opportunities, and gained a behind-the-scenes look at life at McDonald’s through an interactive corporate office tour.

One of the highlights of the day was the iconic Happy Meal Toy Wall, which sparked nostalgia and smiles as students reflected on childhood memories while envisioning their future corporate careers.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Kai Crittle and Mayra A. for coordinating the visit, and to Jessica Wordlaw, EA, and Frank H. for sharing their career journeys and answering insightful questions about their experiences at McDonald’s.

This visit not only gave our students a glimpse into one of the world’s most recognizable brands, but also inspired them to continue pursuing excellence in their academic and professional journeys.

NABA Chicago closed out the first half of the year with our annual summer BBQ—an afternoon filled with food, fun, and fellowship. This special gathering brought together students, professionals, and longtime members, creating space to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new ones into the NABA family.

We were especially honored to have our founder, John E. Adams, CPA, join us and witness the continued impact of the community he built. Together, we also celebrated being named the NABA Inc. Central Region Professional Chapter of the Year—a recognition made possible by the dedication of our members and supporters.

Moments like these remind us why NABA Chicago is more than an organization—it’s a family. 💚
